Ingredients
- 1 1/2 lbs. thinly sliced steak
- 2 tbsp carne asada seasoning
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- Splash of Jugo Maggi
- Juice of 1 lime
- Some tostadas
- Crema mexicana
- Salsa verde or your favorite
- Queso
- 2 roma tomatoes, diced and seeds removed
- 1/4 of a white onion, diced
- 1 serrano pepper, diced
- Cilantro, to taste
- Juice of 1 lime, for pico de gallo
- Salt, to taste for pico de gallo
- 3 avocados, for guacamole
- Juice of 2 limes, for guacamole
- Salt, to taste for guacamole
Instructions
- Cut the steak into small pieces and add to a bowl.
- Season the steak with carne asada seasoning, black pepper, Jugo Maggi, and lime juice, then mix until fully coated and set aside.
- For the pico de gallo, dice the roma tomatoes, remove the seeds, and dice the white onion and serrano pepper.
- Transfer the diced ingredients to a bowl, add cilantro, lime juice, and salt to taste, then mix until well combined and set aside.
- For the guacamole, add avocados, lime juice, and salt to a molcajete and mash until desired consistency is reached.
- Heat a pan to medium heat and add a little oil.
- Once hot, add the meat and cook for about 20 minutes until browned.
- Assemble the tostadas starting with a layer of guacamole, then add the meat, pico de gallo, crema mexicana, salsa verde, and queso.
