Chicken Chow Mein

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. chicken tenders
  • 2 tsp soy sauce
  • 4 tsp corn starch
  • 2 tsp Better Than Bouillon
  • 1/4 tsp ginger powder
  • 1/2 tsp white pepper
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 3 minced garlic cloves
  • 1 carrot
  • 2 mushrooms
  • 2 green onions
  • 1/2 white onion
  • Small piece of cabbage
  • Sesame seeds (optional)
  • 4 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 2 tsp sweet soy sauce

Instructions

  1. Cut chicken tenders into smaller pieces.
  2. Marinate chicken with soy sauce, corn starch, Better Than Bouillon, ginger powder, white pepper, baking soda, and garlic powder. Mix well and set aside.
  3. For the sauce, mix oyster sauce, sweet soy sauce, dark soy sauce, sugar, Better Than Bouillon, sesame oil, and white pepper. Set aside.
  4. Boil 3 1/2 quarts of water, add salt, and cook chow mein stir fry noodles for about 3 minutes. Drain and run through cold water.
  5. Heat oil in a wok, add chicken and minced garlic, and cook for 6 to 8 minutes until chicken is ready. Remove from heat.
  6. In the same pan, add oil and sauté veggies (carrot, mushrooms, green onions, white onion, and cabbage) for 2 minutes.
  7. Add the cooked chicken back to the pan and cook for about 1 minute.
  8. Add the noodles and sauce to the pan, toss until well incorporated.
  9. Add green onions and cook for an additional 2 minutes.
  10. Serve topped with sesame seeds if desired.
