- 1/2 cup (113g) unsalted butter (for browning)
- 1/2 cup (100g) dark brown sugar
- 1/4 cup (50g) granulated sugar
- 1 egg, room temperature
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups (195g) all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/3 cup (66g) mini chocolate chips, plus extra for topping
- 1/2 cup chocolate chunks (for dip)
- 2–3 tablespoons milk (for dip)
- 1 tablespoon butter (for dip)
Instructions
- Start by browning the butter. Melt it in a saucepan over medium-low heat.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the browned butter, dark brown sugar, and granulated sugar.
- Add the egg and vanilla extract, mixing until well combined.
- In another bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
- Fold in the mini chocolate chips.
- Scoop the dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, shaping it into fry-like sticks.
- Bake in a preheated oven until golden brown.
- For the chocolate dip, melt the chocolate chunks with milk and butter until smooth.
- Serve the cookie fries warm with the chocolate dip.
