Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp gochujang
  • 1 tbsp dark soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp light soy sauce
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 3 cloves garlic, grated
  • 1 inch ginger, grated
  • 1 tbsp mirin
  • ground beef
  • oil for cooking
  • white rice for serving
  • fried egg for serving

Instructions

  1. Mix together gochujang, dark soy sauce, light soy sauce, sesame oil, sugar, and mirin to make the sauce, then set it aside.
  2. Preheat a pan with a bit of oil.
  3. Add the ground beef piece by piece to the pan.
  4. Cook until the beef is crispy, then start flipping.
  5. Grate in the garlic and ginger once you can smell them.
  6. Pour in the sauce from earlier and mix until everything thickens up.
  7. Serve over white rice and optionally pair with a fried egg.
