Ingredients

  • steak
  • quarter cup water
  • quarter to half a cup water for pan sauce
  • roasted chicken flavored rice

Instructions

  1. Pat the steak dry using a paper towel on both sides.
  2. Get a pan on the stove over high heat until it is ripping hot.
  3. Drop a little bit of water in the pan to check if it's ready; if it glides across, the pan is hot enough.
  4. Drop the steak in the pan and let it cook for a minute or two, depending on the thickness.
  5. After about two minutes, flip the steak over.
  6. Add a quarter cup of water to the tray and place it in a 400 degree oven for two minutes.
  7. Reduce the heat to medium low and add a quarter to a half cup of water to the pan.
  8. Scrape up the flavor compounds from the bottom of the pan and let it simmer down until reduced by half.
